Environmental Awareness at Boultons

Waste Management

Boultons also have an onsite recycling centre where we handle and sort waste material from our nursery and the products we produce. All our plastic waste which includes pots, bags, shrink wrap gets sorted into individual containers and is sent for recycling at a local privately owned environmental waste company. Cardboard, paper, chemical containers and other type of waste are also sorted and recycled.

Boultons ideas are relatively straightforward, the idea being the ability to produce a plant as efficiently and environmentally friendly as possible, for everyone that is a win-win situation.

We encourage customers to save any used pots, pallets we have supplied for us to collect and recycle on the nursery, saving you the customer time and more importantly money. To try to minimise our use of plastics, we are testing bio-degradable pots in our production cycle.

Biodegradeable Pots and Peat-Free Production

Using bio-degradeable pots saves time in potting, as well as helping to limit the amount of plastic waste produced on the nursery.
