Container Production at Boultons
Boultons 15-acre production unit at Moddershall produces a variety of container-grown plants. The site is modern and efficient, comprising outside growing areas and 5 acres of glasshouse.
The site is fitted with the latest in climate control, irrigation, and weather protection. At 550ft above sea level, we grow our plants to adapt to hardy British conditions, unlike some continental imports.
Boultons has a state-of-the-art propagation facility, with a production capacity of over 100,000 young plants. Plugs from the propagation aftercare unit are potted on into biodegradable containers, which are then grown on under glass or outdoors, to a suitable size for sale in 2L, 3L or 5L pots.
